About Us

Oculus Global is a 501 (C) (3) charity, dedicated to eradicating avoidable blindness and providing quality eye care to underprivileged communities around the world.

We believe in the power of collective action to create lasting change.

The Problem

Blindness is one among the most concerning public health issues in the world, affecting millions and resulting in a reduced quality of life. According to a study conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 39 million people across the world suffer from blindness. IAPB’s data suggests that most of these individuals reside in low- and middle-income countries, where access to affordable and quality eye care is severely limited.

Mission Shatam

For millions, the world remains a blur—not because they lack dreams, but because they lack access to the simplest gift: clear vision. Mission Shatam was born out of the belief that no one should live in darkness due to poverty or lack of medical access. 'Shatam,' meaning 100 in Sanskrit, embodies our unwavering commitment—to perform 100,000 eye surgeries every year, giving sight and hope to those who need it the most.

When someone loses their ability to see, their world is dimmed, their independence is stolen, and their potential is left untapped. But their lives can change forever with one small intervention. Through Mission Shatam, we are not just restoring vision; we are restoring dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Join us. Be the light someone desperately needs.
